Weymouth
Finn McColl's (more info)
26 Westham Road, Weymouth
Tel: 01305 778098

Admission: Free Thursday, Friday and Saturday -
Venue: Pub
Facilities: Long bar, pool table, rock jukebox & pub grub.
Review: Busy on Friday and Saturday. Thursday nights there's a new bands night for any musicians starting out. Sunday afternoon they have blues bands playing.
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere from publicans Steve and Jude ,and barstaff Barbera, Don and Mark. They're an ace laugh when you get to know them!!!
Other: The pub has always been and ever shall be Weymouth's bikers/rock watering hole!! That's my opinion anyway! But obviously due to a huge void of 'the times'(so called fashion changes)and change of management a while ago, the atmosphere died!! That's what happens in seaside towns I suppose, someone has silly ideas about making money and not caring about integrity! But six months ago there was a shake up when Steve and Jude took over after leaving the Kings Arms in Yeovil Somerset.

Weymouth
Players Nightclub (more info)
The Esplanade, Weymouth
Tel: 01305 789669

Admission: £3 Saturday 9pm - 2am
Venue: Nightclub
Music: Rock / Metal / Thrash / Industrial / Goth
Facilities: Top floor room with bar, seats, DJ booth and moshfloor!
Review: Dark with plenty of coloured lights and posters of famous rock bands. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere from DJ mike and barmaid Sandra.
Other: The club is located on Weymouth sea front. Its an old big blue building that used to be called 'The Town Crier', a local bikers rock venue. But due to changes in management and so called fashion, it was no longer to be! But the current management knew of Mike the DJ, and about eighteen months ago a rock nite started up in a bar at the very top floor.
Mike the DJ is mainly a goth but does apreciate other genres. Seeing as though he saw the "mosh" nature in me, he often digs up a classic thrash number in the shape of Venom, Celtic Frost, Exodus and Anthrax! So anyone into something hard and fast, come on down and mosh with me! The more the merrier! Plus occasionally I do a half an hour DJ spot playing classic rock and metal!!
